HIGHLAND SHERIFF STATION AND JAIL INFORMATION
Since its incorporation, the City of Highland has chosen to contract for its law enforcement services through the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The Highland Sheriff Station is staffed with 31 sworn officers.
The Highland Station is traditionally one of the busiest stations in terms of safety personnel to population. This includes calls for services and arrests per deputy. They take great pride in their ability to accomplish goals efficiently and effectively.
The station's Deputies are heavily involved in local schools, youth sports activities and participating in community programs.
When someone is arrested in the Highland area, they will be taken to the Central Detention Center Jail. This is the primary booking facility for both police and sheriff stations operating in the east valley, San Bernardino area.
While there, they will be booked into the system. This means they will be photographed, fingerprinted and a nation wide background and warrant check will be conducted.
Once the booking process is complete, the defendant will be clear for bail and a bail bond may be posted.
Most inmates are all eligible to be released on bail or bond, unless otherwise specified by a warrant, court order or the County bail schedule.
