    WHAT IS BAIL?

“Bail” is the amount of money needed to get an arrestee out of jail. All bail is deposited with the county court in cash or as a surety bail bond.  If somebody you know is arrested and charged with a crime, bail is a form of insurance that guarantees they will appear in court for their trial.

Going through a bail bond company is the fastest way to get your friend or loved one back home to you. Almost every crime is a bailable offense (with the exception of capital crimes that carry the death penalty or life imprisonment).

At 888 Bail Bonds, one of our licensed, knowledgeable bondsmen will happily walk you through our easy application process step by step, in person, by fax or email, and then post the bail for you.

An 888 Bail Bondsman is standing by, 24/7, ready to assist you. Call 888-224-5266, (888) BAIL BOND and talk to us now!

Busy Saddleback College Campus Police do it all -- from writing parking tickets to preparing for earthquake or fire. Their department is required to go through POST (Police Officers Standard Training), which requires officers to meet the same standards as all CA police officers plus an additional 60 hours training so they know how to interact with a college community.

Saddleback College Police Officers have the same authority as a Municipal Police Officer or County Deputy Sheriff. They are responsible for patrolling campus grounds, taking crime and incident reports, conducting investigations, enforcing all applicable laws, traffic regulations and providing safety for the students, faculty, staff and guests.

Campus police do their best to make sure that every student has the ability to be well informed. The department also provides a Crime Blotter so that of any crimes that occur on campus. They are also currently working on making some of the parking more accessible for both the staff and the students, so that fewer parking citations will have to be issued.

There are always at least two fully armed patrol officers on duty during the day, in addition to the security personnel that are on campus and officers assigned to desk duty.  Nine field officers work in shifts so that there is always an officer on hand in case of any disturbance or emergency.

The campus police also provide a service for escorting students to or from a class, 24/7.   Anyone who needs help going from one area to another, or simply wishes to feel safer, has only to call the Campus Police and request an escort, regardless of the hour.

The Saddleback Campus Police recently acquired new radios that are linked to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Orange County Fire Authority.  They are also trained in First Aid and CPR -- and they have an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator if someone goes into cardiac arrest.

Students are encouraged to call them in case of an emergency at Ext. 4444 before calling 911, since the response time will be faster and outside emergency personnel might not always know where to go on the campus. Crimes and suspicious activities should also be reported at the same extension.

    Parking Permits

Students can buy Parking Permits at the Saddleback Campus Police Station for $30.00.  They must be used at all times Mon-Sun.  It is also possible to purchase parking passes online, whether they are for a semester, a year, or just the summer session.

Although there is a small fee for the online purchase, it saves students the trouble of going down to the parking services for a pass.   To get a pass online, go to MySite.  Day permits can be purchased at any time for $2.00 at one of four yellow permit dispenser machines, although students are confined to parking only in Lots 1, 5A, 10, or 13 if they use a daily pass.

Saddleback College parking permits are also valid for student-staff parking at Irvine Valley College.
