    Bail Information

    ARREST AND BOOKING PROCESS

The Imperial Valley, borders Mexico to the south, Riverside County to the north, Imperial County on the west, and the State of Arizona on the east.

If someone has been arrested in the areas of El Centro, Calexico, Imperial, Calipatria, Holtville, Westmorland or Brawley they will be transported to the El Centro Jail which is operated by Imperial County Sheriff.

The booking process will typically include mug shots (photographs), fingerprints, and background checks. This process can take several hours to complete, depending upon the defendant’s specific case.

A bail bond cannot be posted with the jail until the defendant is completely booked into the system. However, when the defendant is cleared, bail may be posted 24 hours a day.

Once bail has been posted it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours for their release.

    BAIL PROCEDURE AND COST

When you contact us, we will ask several questions that may seem somewhat personal. The reason we do so is to factor in the risk in taking on the bond. Questions such as length of time living in California, employment situation, credit rating, background, type of crime, and other queries may be asked.  This is a consideration on behalf of both the defendant and the indemnitor (the person signing the contract) when posting a bail bond.

We can often negotiate no collateral bail bonds with our clients. These are also called signature bonds. We find that most of our customers are eligible for a signature bond.

Our company can transact all bail bond paperwork simply by e-mail or fax. For an added convenience, we can have a bondsman on their way to the jail to post the bond in the time it takes to fill out the paperwork. You never have to leave the comfort of your own home.

The cost of a bail bond is 10% of the total bail amount. For example, for a bail amount of $20,000, a bail bond will cost $2,000. For payment, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Using a credit card is the fastest and easiest way to pay for the bail bond. You may also choose to pay in cash.
