SUISUN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT & JAIL INFORMATION

The Suisun City Police Department has launched a new community information service which delivers important information to residents using the latest technology. The service, called Nixle, delivers trustworthy and important neighborhood-level public safety and community event notifications to the public by email, cell phone text message and web.

According to a recent community update issued by Police Chief Ed Dadisho, the crime rate in Suisun City has declined to 26 crimes per 1,000 residents in 2009 and from 38 crimes per 1,000 residents recorded in 2008.

When someone is arrested and taken into custody in Suisun City, they will be transported to the Solano County Jail for booking and processing.  This jail is administrated by the Solano County Sheriff's Office.

When an arrestee is booked into a Solano County jail facility, the process will include fingerprinting, removing and tagging of the defendant's personal property, and assigning jail cells according to a prisoner classification system. This process can generally take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete.

Because the timing and bail bond procedures can vary so widely, we recommend starting the bail bond paperwork quickly, which will allow for the release of your family member or loved one as quickly as possible.

We understand the special needs of people detained in the Solano County jails and can help you understand the bail bond process. We also offer our clients creative and flexible bail payment solutions. Contact one of our agents for additional information.
