    SONOMA DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

    Since the mid-1800's the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has provided law enforcement, court security services and detention services to the citizens of Sonoma County. The Department currently employs over 1,000.

    The Guerneville Substation (also referred to as the River Substation) is where patrol services for the west part of Sonoma County are based. The Substation is staffed with two Sergeants, sixteen Deputy Sheriffs, three Resident Deputy Sheriffs and one Community Services Officer.
