The SJPD Western Division is made up of four separate police districts which are, Nora, Frank, Lincoln and Sam. These districts total more than 638 street miles. The Western Division borders several local cities such as Los Gatos, Santa Clara, Campbell, Cupertino and Saratoga.
Most SJPD arrestees from this area will be taken to the main jail in San Jose. This is Santa Clara County’s primary jail.
In most cases, release from the main jail complex can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours, depending upon the jail staff. It’s important to know that if the defendant is not bailed out, he or she will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in court.
