Safety Escort Program
The University Police Department provides escort services to anyone walking on campus at night. To request a safety escort, call 707-826-5555 or dial 5555 from any campus courtesy phone. Escort services are for on-campus only.

R.A.D.
The University Police Department, in partnership with the Office of the Vice President, Student Affairs sponsors a Rape Aggression Defense program for students, staff, faculty and the general public.
This is a self-defense program designed for women to help them protect themselves against assaults and abductions. The program teaches awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance as well as basics of hands-on defense training. The course is taught by certified instructors.

Bicycle Patrol
The University Police Department has a special Bicycle Patrol Unit which enhances the services provided by regular patrol units. This allows officers to be more visible among the community. Officers on bicycles can respond to emergencies faster than a vehicle and patrol areas that are inaccessible by cars.
