COLMA POLICE STATION AND JAIL INFORMATION

When arrested in the area of Colma, depending upon the severity of the crime committed, arrestees may be transported to the temporary holding facility located at the Colma Police Station.

There, they will be interviewed, fingerprinted, booked and the necessary reports and forms will be filled out. After posting bail, release from this jail can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.

If the crime is more severe, male inmates will likely be transported to the San Mateo County Jail, also referred to as the Maguire Correctional Facility. This larger jail facility is in Redwood City.

Female inmates may be taken to the seperate San Mateo County Women's Jail, also in Redwood City.
