People arrested in Costa Mesa are usually booked and processed at the Costa Mesa Jail. Occasionally, they will be taken directly to the Orange County Jail system. After initial processing, bail will be set. A bail bond may be posted at the Costa Mesa Jail. Filing a Costa Mesa bail bond with our bail company usually takes less than one hour.
Arrestees who are not bailed out of jail or otherwise released will generally remain in custody in Costa Mesa until arraignment. If Costa Mesa is busy and/or crowded, inmates may be taken to the Orange County operated by the OC Sheriff’s Department.
