A native of Glendale, Chief Ron De Pompa has been employed by the Glendale Police Department for the past 32 years. He was also instrumental in leading strategic planning efforts to improve county-wide radio communications interoperability; homeland security planning and response capability; and city-wide disaster and emergency preparedness. Most recently, he has directed the construction of a long range staffing and service plan to increase the department by 100 sworn officers, and has implemented a holistic wellness program for the organization.
