The Department of Police Services Station at California State University, Northridge, is located at the corner of Darby Avenue and Prairie Street and are open 24/7. The Substation is located in the G7 parking lot, south of UPA 14 in the housing complex. Their mission is to deliver police services that include crime prevention, problem solving and partnerships with the community. And, to enhance the safety of all students and staff.

Providing information to CSUN Department of Police Services can be very helpful in solving a crime. The Department of Police Services operates a "We-Tip Hotline" that is available for anonymously reporting concerns and information regarding any criminal activity. You can help in making Cal State Northridge an even safer community by calling (818) 677-2111 or (818) 677-TIPS (8477) to report crime anonymously.

If someone has been arrested on or near the CSUN campus they will be taken to a temporary holding cell at the CSUN Police Station. Once processed, they will either be transported to the Van Nuys Jail or the Lost Hills Jail for booking into the jail system.

The defendant's arrest and booking process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours or more depending upon the individual case. It generally consists of photographs, fingerprints and background checks. Once the defendant is clear, we may post the bail.  However, we can start the bail bond process with you right away.

Once a bond has been posted at either of these facilities, release can generally take between 4 to 6 hours depending on the individual case and how busy the facility is. It's good to know that bail can be posted at either of these jails 24 hours a day.

In Northridge as well as in all of California, the legal bail bond fee is 10%. So if the bail amount is $20,000, you would pay $2,000 to bail them out. We never charge additional finance fees, taxes or charges.

We accept all major credit cards and very often, we may not need any collateral. Further, we offer creative payment options to those that qualify.

For information regarding bail for a friend, family member or student arrested and taken into custody by the CSUN Department of Police Services, call our 24 hour bail line and speak live with a professional bondsman.

We'll assist you right away at 818-348-8551 or you may reach us toll free at 888-224-5266.

PARKING AND BICYCLES AT CSUN COLLEGE CAMPUS

Parking on campus requires a valid CSUN parking permit. The goal of Parking and Transportation Services is to provide the best in customer service to the campus communities. An annual parking permit can be purchased on-line via the campus Portal, at the Department of Police Services or University Cash Services located in Bayramian Hall.

Bicycles are an integral part of the University and also a great way to get around campus. The downside is, they are just as susceptible to theft as any other personal item.
