Bail bond policies and procedures for getting out of jail once a bond has been posted with the jailer vary among Los Angeles County jails. After the bail bond is processed, a defendant can usually be released in a few short hours at the smaller jails.
The Twin Towers jail facility, however, has a much longer process. It can often take up to 24 hours just to get somebody fingerprinted and booked into this facility once they have arrived at Twin Towers. The process for release usually requires 3 to 12 hours after the bail bond has been delivered to the jailer.
Women arrested in Los Angeles County will generally be taken or transferred to the Century Station Jail in Lynwood.
Because the timing and bail bond process can vary so widely in Los Angeles County, the bail bond paperwork should be started quickly to allow for getting out of jail as soon as possible.
