If someone you know has been arrested in San Ramon, they will be transported to the Contra Costa County Jail, the Martinez Jail, for booking and processing. In the booking process, the defendant may be interviewed, fingerprinted, booked and the necessary reports will be filled out.

There may be a long period of time before the jail's computer system has any details of a person’s arrest. Should you contact the jail too quickly after your family member or friend has been arrested, they have not been placed in the system yet.

Not to worry, this is a normal for the pre-booking process which can take some time to complete.
