    FEES & COSTS

In California, bail is set in accordance to the severity of the offense and with consideration for public safety. California mandated law sets bail at 10%, which is a non-refundable percentage of the total amount of the bail. For example, should the bail be set at $30,000; it will cost $3,000 to bail them out.

We understand that not everyone may be in the position to afford the full amount of a bail. That’s why we offer flexible payment options. We never charge any finance fees, charges or taxes, and we offer no collateral bail options to qualified applicants.

Once the bond has been posted, it can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours for release from the San Mateo County Jail.  If the defendant is not bailed out, he or she will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in court.
