GLENN DYER JAIL

Glenn Dyer Detention Facility
550 - 6th Street
Oakland, CA 94607
Phone: 510-268-7777

Glenn Dyer Jail is the 2nd largest jail facility in Alameda County measuring approximately 240,000 sq. ft. and with a maximum capacity of about 800 inmates. Those that have been arrested in Oakland stand a high probability of being transferred the Glen Dyer Jail facility or the Santa Rita Jail.

At the Glenn E. Dyer jail lobby, bail can be "posted" 24 hours a day, meaning that an Oakland bail bond can be transacted quickly, anytime. After bail has been posted, release times can vary (usually 1-5 hours). The Oakland jail staff is extremely busy and does not help to pressured them to expedite release of a particular inmate. Their first concern is safety for all and they operate accordingly.

When being released from Glenn Dyer Jail, arrestees will have their personal items returned to them (such as cell phones, wallets, watches etc.). Defendants will also be given paperwork indicating their charges, court date and other important information. Note that inmates who do not have proper clothing, at the time of release, will often be provided basic clothing at Alameda County expense. Additionally, defendants may be given free bus passes or BART passes.

BAIL IN OAKLAND

Most bail bond companies are hard-working, honest operations. Be aware that many "fly-by-night" bail companies exist in the Oakland area. Unscrupulous bail bondsmen will listen to police scanners to see who has been arrested. They will then "cold-call" family members, bosses or others for the purposes of transacting bail. Not only is this undignified, it is illegal. Please be careful who you do business with. Those willing to break the law to obtain your business should not be trusted. If you have questions about the licensing or practices of a particular bail bond company, you can contact the California Department of Insurance (CDI). The CDI regulates and licenses all bail agents in the entire state of California.

Potential clients that contact our Oakland bail bond company should be aware that we can have most inmates released in a few hours. It is imperative that you contact us as soon as possible in order to get somebody released as fast as possible. Any delays in contacting a bail bond company could result in unnecessary transfers of an inmate to a larger jail facility. Whether you are in Oakland, or elsewhere in California, our company can likely help you with your situation. We are 24 hours. We never close our doors.

Please call us at 510-864-2245 for immediate bail bonds service.
