Arrestees in the Delano area may be transferred to the Delano Police Station holding facility.  Defendants can be be held there pending release or until a bail bond has been posted. If the defendant is not released quickly from this facility, they may be transferred to the main Bakersfield jail.

The booking process typically consists of fingerprinting, photographs, background checks and entering the inmate into the computer system. This can take several hours, depending on the workload of the jail facility. Once they are cleared and the booking process is complete, we may post a bond with the jail.

It's important to know that if the defendant is not bailed out from jail, they will generally remain in custody until the matter has been resolved in court.

COST OF A BAIL BOND
