Those who've been following the trials and tribulations of "sexy felon" Jeremy Meeks are out of luck, because the days of his mugshots popping up on the San Joaquin County Jail website seem to be over.

Meeks, who gained quite a few female Facebook followers after his mugshot landed on a social media website, is in deeper water than initially thought.

The state was planning on bringing him up on about a dozen different charges but since that time the federal government has stepped in with a charge of their own.

Meeks has since been transferred from state to federal custody where he remains locked up pending trial.  Being in federal custody is worlds different than being locked up at the San Joaquin County Jail and when it comes to posting bail bonds, well that's a whole different story, too.

A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office said the state charges have since been dropped, and if convicted, he could face a fine of up to a quarter million dollars and up to 10 years in a federal penitentiary.

(Which would probably nix that modeling contract he was offered a few weeks back.)

In terms of any new "sexy mugshot" photos, well that's out of the question.  The feds say they don't post videos or pictures online.
