A Costa Mesa man who sold pot brownies to a local teenager has pled guilty to one count of selling marijuana to a minor and one count of furnishing marijuana to a minor.

The judge has sentenced him to 36 months behind bars.

Costa Mesa Police Department officers said all started last year after seven elementary school students became sick after unknowingly consuming some of the pot-laced treats.

A 12 year-old student had brought the brownie onto campus, according to police reports, and classmate shared it with the other students.  Six boys and one girl needed to be hospitalized as a result.

One month later, another incident took place at an area high school.  Five other students wound up needing medical care after taking bites out of a different brownie.

The child who brought it to school was eventually arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Officers said the man behind all this is 33 year-old Isaac Greer.    Greer was arrested last month after a search warrant was executed at his home.

Police reportedly said they found more than 45 pounds of marijuana, business cards and brownie mix.  They also found a large quantity of business cards, they said, which were given out o his underage customers.
