Don't commit the crime if you can't do the time

An inmate who was serving a six and a half year sentence at a minimum security prison in the UK said "enough was enough", and that the constant playing of loud hip-hop music led is what prompted his jailbreak.

The music was driving him nuts, he said, and he was tired about being hounded by other inmates to buy drugs.

And eventually, when it got to the point that he was on his last very nerve, he decided to climb over a security wall and make a run for it.

Robert Stevens remained on the run for about 20 days, according to authorities, before he was captured in a nearby town.

Court records show an additional 10 months has been tacked onto his sentence as a result of the escape.

The judge wasn't exactly sympathetic to his reason for busting out of the big house.  Sure, jail is unpleasant and the company isn't exactly stellar, but that's the price you pay when you decide to break the law.

This, however, isn't Stevens' first time at the rodeo.

He's reportedly been convicted more than 21 times in the past 40 years and is currently serving time for a string of robberies.
