Two female tourists found themselves taking an unintended to the big house this week, although neither one was taken into custody.

Authorities say the incident started off when the pair, who was on holiday, decided to take a hot air balloon ride.  The operator wound up losing control of it a short time later, citing high winds and unstable air conditions.

Ultimately, he needed to make an unintended landing; no one suspected that would happen on grounds of the Amjer jail.  Neither woman had any idea where they were once the balloon touched ground, but the second the alarms and sirens started going off, they started to realize something was wrong.

The jailers did wind up detaining the sisters and the balloon operator temporarily while they tried to sort everything out.   It took a little bit of time but corrections officials were eventually able to determine that that yes, the women were tourists and the man that was with them had been operating the balloon.

Authorities say the company's license has since been suspended and they are investigating how the incident happened to begin with.

The sisters say they will continue to enjoy their vacation and they hope the rest of it is "uneventful".
